Martina Hansen's Hospital
Next →Until 2025, Martina Hansens Hospital in Bærum Municipality was owned by the foundation Martina Hansens Hospital AS. The hospital is now owned by Vestre Viken HF. It is one of Norway’s leading specialist hospitals in orthopedic surgery, rheumatic surgery, and rheumatology. In 2015, the hospital initiated plans to expand its facilities with a new wing to increase patient capacity, improve operational efficiency, and adapt existing spaces to meet the standards of a modern hospital. The original buildings from 1936, along with the surrounding outdoor areas, were designated as a cultural heritage preservation zone, an important premise for the project’s development. The expansion was subject to detailed zoning regulations with strict requirements for design and material quality.
