The building is organized into three main sections: church functions, activity areas, and administration. The church tower crowns the vestibule and announces the church out to the village. The church interior has a capacity of about 420 seats, as well as a possibility for extension into common area/church square. The church construction consists of rhythmic laminated wooden frames rising inside the church interior. The facades consist of both transparent and opaque glass. The roof is clad in steel plates, providing resilience against the climate while reflecting the church’s functional and sacred identity.

Ratio won the 1st prize in a limited planning and design competition for a new church at Tau in collaboration with HBA Arkitekter in 2017. The church was completed in the autumn of 2021.
